The short version

You can play without registering. When you submit your first guess, MCdle creates a guest identifier to save guesses, XP, levels and streaks. Connecting Discord is optional and keeps that progress across devices.

What is stored on your device

MCdle stores a session cookie and a local fallback copy of today's guesses and streak. Clearing browser data signs the guest session out, but server progress may remain. A connected Discord account can sign in again on another device.

Account and game data

Our database provider, Supabase, stores the guest or connected account identifier, display name and chosen avatar, guesses, completed days, XP, level, streak milestones, leaderboard positions and honours. If you connect Discord, its identity service also stores the Discord identity needed to sign you in. We request the basic identify scope, not permission to read your servers or messages.

Connected players' display names, preset avatars, leaderboard scores and honours are public. Internal account identifiers and individual guess history are not published. We use this data to sync progress, prevent duplicate rewards and operate account features. To request account deletion, email [email protected].

Analytics

Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages people use and roughly where they are. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can find confusing interfaces. Both set their own cookies and may process data outside your country.

We do not sell account or game data. A browser tracker blocker can stop these analytics tools and the game will still work.

Advertising

The site may show display advertising to cover hosting. Ad providers can set their own cookies; where the law requires it you will be asked first, and you can decline without losing access to the game.

Children

MCdle is about a game played by many children. Registration is optional, and we do not knowingly ask children for real names or messages. A parent or guardian can request deletion at [email protected].
